American Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the United States, is seeking Mates (full time or part time) to join our brand new ships which travel throughout our nation on week long cruises. We deliver highly customized experiences to each guest on our small, luxury ships. We offer over 30 unique 7 to 21 night itineraries that travel along the inland and coastal waterways of the East Coast, Pacific Northwest and Mississippi River. Each ship carries between 100 and 200 passengers under a US flag and most ships are licensed under Subchapter K of USCG regulation. The Mate will be responsible for the safety of both passengers and the vessel, while assisting the shipboard officer. Each ship is equipped with the latest safety, navigation, and communications systems.  American Cruise Lines currently has 11 ships in service and 3 under construction.   On board, you will receive excellent private accommodations, with in-suite head, satellite TV, etc. This position is ideal for licensed captains, interested in a leadership role in a fast-paced and exciting work environment. Mechanical equipment aboard includes pumps, motors, engines, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take charge in performing the initial troubleshooting of problems, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating vessel repairs. American Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the United States, is looking for an Engine Room Attendant to join our shipboard team as we gear up for the busiest part of our operating seas on America’s rivers. Our shipboard team supports a combined fleet of ships sailing through various different itineraries across the nation from contemporary riverboats to paddlewheels for a steamboat experience.   The Engine Room Attendant is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment onboard our ships. Mechanical equipment aboard includes pumps, motors, engines, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take charge in performing the initial troubleshooting of problems, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating vessel repairs. The Engine Room Attendant will also be accountable for overseeing day to day technical and maintenance issues pertaining to our ships.

Your hospitality certificate turns the skills you have learned into a resume builder that will help you in any future career.   LEARN –Our program includes training by industry shipboard veterans as well as a comprehensive training program held at our facility in Guilford, CT. Every day brings a new opportunity to gain new skills that will last a lifetime.   TRAVEL - With 12 ships and 35+ itineraries, we offer the opportunity to travel to some of the most scenic and iconic places across the country.
