With newly constructed vessels being added to our fleet, we are now accepting applications for our shipboard management positions for our 2021 season!   The Excursions Director is responsible for engaging guests in each destination through a series of shoreside excursions, explorations and adventures. As the Excursions Director, you manage, are responsible for and are accountable for all shore excursion and transfer operations, external vendor/operator communications, and brand ambassadorship & representation on excursions.   This role has the highest level of guest interaction and can be very demanding, with long hours. Join our team for our 2020 season as a Deckhand!    As a Deckhand with American Cruise Lines you will be trusted with the opportunity to assist in boat operations including helm, gangway, and security watches. You will be part of an important team maintaining and cleaning the boat while also assisting with key guest services such as laundry, garbage, and luggage. The position is responsible for adhering to the daily matrix consisting of Desserts, Tea Time, Pastries, Breads and other duties assigned by the Corporation and/or the galley Executive Chef. The Pastry Cook must be creative and continually researching and testing new and different dessert and baking recipes to ensure that each guest and crew have an exceptional dining experience.

As General Manager, you will lead the hotel and food service teams, while ensuring our guests are provided with the highest level of service in a clean and safe environment. The entire hotel department will report directly to you as we travel the rivers and waterways of the country. This is a traveling position that will immerse you in the hospitality, food service, and cruise industries.   Your primary duties include overseeing the day-to-day hotel operations and onboard food services, as well coordinating onshore events. Other responsibilities include coaching and training the hotel team and establishing collaborative relationships among team members. At all times you must ensure that our company policies are applied and upheld in a consistent manner. The DRM is responsible for managing all dining room servers to ensure that all company service standards and procedures are followed consistently. Overall Dining Room guest satisfaction is each Dining Room Manager’s responsibility and a critical measure of success. The DRM determines training needs and implements the daily training plan. The DRM is expected to provide gracious hospitality to the guests while being safe, courteous, professional, and efficient.   The Dining Room Manager reports to the Hotel Manager.

The Assistant Hotel Manager is responsible for service excellence and superior guest satisfaction which is a critical measure of success. The Assistant Hotel Manager is accountable for the performance of all Hotel Department crew members, particularly the hotel officers and executive chef. Our Galleys are new and well equipped with a spectacular view.
