As a Waiter or Waitress with American Cruise Lines, you can travel the beautiful scenic waterways of the US while building your resume and learning skills that will last a lifetime. This exciting position allows you to play a dynamic role within our shipboard team. It’s all about having fun, making new friends, and working hard. You will be serving guests our chef-inspired meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our onboard dining room, while also assisting with food service during cocktail hours and onboard events.

Our 2nd Chefs are involved with all aspects of food production including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will work closely with other members of the culinary team every day to ensure that the kitchen operations run smoothly and that all service provided to our guests is flawless.

The Baker/ Pastry Chefs on our ships at American Cruise Lines play a vital role in delivering a memorable first-class dining experience to our guests. The position is responsible for adhering to the daily matrix consisting of desserts, tea time, pastries, breads and other duties assigned by the company or galley Executive Chef. Within this position, the ability to lead baking and pastry operations is also crucial.
The Baker/ Pastry Chef should possess culinary expertise and significant experience to make a wide variety of desserts as well as baked goods, including confectionary work. The Baker/Pastry Chef must be able to scale recipe ingredients and convert baking percentages. He/She must be able to understand and appreciate the subtleties of flavor pairings and different taste, and have a good aesthetic sense for food and pastry presentation. The Baker/ Pastry Chef must also be creative and continually researching and testing new and different dessert and baking recipes to ensure that guests and crew have an exceptional dining experience.
